Toshiba flashes in mini NB520 and NB500 netbook

Whether flying on an airplane or resting lazily in the park, users can now take complete advantage of unremitting entertainment.

Toshiba has recently unfurled two new models of its new netbook family dubbed mini NB500 and mini NB520. Despite their minuscule size, these latest variants are packed in with feature-rich attributes, all in a compact size.

The mini NB520 flaunts a powerful sonic punch with its 2W Harman/Kardon stereo speakers. Along with support for Dolby Advanced Audio, this device delivers enhanced sound and volume quality. Entertainment aficionados can enjoy listening to music or watching videos in HD quality on the netbook.

Interestingly, the sleep and music function enables users to hear the music which is saved on their portable music player through the netbook’s speakers without turning the device on.
“Offering a magic sound experience by featuring the world’s smallest Harman/Kardon speakers on a laptop embedded in a slim and stylish casing, the mini NB520 meets a yet unfulfilled user demand in the netbook market,” stated Marco Perino, General Manager, Product Marketing EMEA Toshiba Computer Systems Division.

The sleek NB500 caters everyday computing needs since it is packed with basic computing consumption features. Touted to be affordable, this device offers an exceptional experience while on the move. Both the models sport a subtle look with shiny metallic reflections and engraved dot patterns.

Users can select from five fresh colors of blue, brown, lime green, turquoise and orange. Additionally, the Music Place which is powered by 7Digital renders an easy client for access to a wide catalogue of music.

The Toshiba mini NB500 and the mini NB520 are anticipated to be available during the first quarter of 2011 across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
