Just when you thought the list of iDevice accessories and peripherals couldn’t get any longer, MiLi decides to add one more to the party. Why should you care? Because this new iPhone/iPod charging dock is more than just a dock. Read on for more.
The iDock device is not only small and rather well designed (though I’m not too keen on the color choices) it also has some built in capabilities. The HDMI out is great if you want to port your video a a larger screen without losing quality but if you want to play your media where you Pod/Phone sits, you’ll love the built-in speakers. Of course they’re not going to blow you away with their volume and sound quality but they’re better than bargain basement peripheral speakers.
In addition to the HDMI out there’s also a mini-USB out as well so you can transfer media even without the High Definition.
The cool part about this dock is that it isn’t much more price-wise than a simple charger. You can have media playback capabilities and mobile video for under $100. Of course, it’s only under by a penny but it’s still under. Not too shabby for watching video on your favorite HD TV.
