Global mobile revenue growth will slow this year after accelerating in 2010, according to analyst firm Strategy Analytics.
Growth will slow to 4% this year, the company predicts, but mobile subscriptions will pass six billion.
Strategy Analytics said 3G and 4G networks would dominate revenues and account for half of all global service revenues in 2011.
Meanwhile, connected device categories, allow more growth opportunities for operators, said the company, although increasingly saturated markets for traditional voice services will see a global growth rates slow.
In 2012, the analyst said 2G subscriptions will begin to fall as operators more affordable 3G devices beyond the high tier.
