AT&T has announced that it is finally ready to release an Android 2.2 update for HTC's Aria handset. The carrier promises the update to arrive on Friday, after the company began releasing over-the-air Froyo updates for Samsung's Captivate handset earlier today.
The Aria is expected to get the standard set of Froyo features, including Flash 10.1, though the company has yet to disclose any hardware limitations. The Captivate release brought improved support for voice commands, overall performance improvements, and the ability to transfer apps to the SD card.
It is unclear if the Aria will receive the same OTA rollout as the Captivate, though AT&T's Facebook page will be updated tomorrow with a link to additional details.
